Hepburn Springs Yoga Retreat

Each spring, BIY runs a yoga retreat featuring lots of yoga, fabulous vegan food, all in a beautiful peaceful setting. Attending a residential yoga retreat is an excellent way to get away from the distractions of everyday life and deepen your understanding of yoga.

In 2017 our retreat will be located in Hepburn Springs, situated 35 minutes east of Ballarat and about 1.5 hours north of Melbourne. We will be staying at Continental House – a 1920’s guest house situated in a beautiful garden, backing on to the Goldfields Walking Track. It is also only a 5 minute walk to the Hepburn Bathhouse.

Continental House now has a full steam room so you can have a Turkish Bath. You can also have a massage with their fabulous massage therapist. These services are available at a very reasonable price. We can organise a discount on a general bathing pass for your bathhouse visit.

The retreat package includes plenty of free time for walking, luxuriating in the Turkish Bath, having a massage, bathing at the bathhouse or relaxing in one of the many communal lounge areas of the guest house. Bring a good book. The accommodation is twin share. Some single rooms are available. You will enjoy feasting on scrumptious organic food. Special needs such as gluten free will be provided for.

Experience Required

All you need is six months yoga experience.

What to Bring

Continental House has some basic yoga equipment (mats, blankets, foam blocks). In addition, can you please bring:

  • 2 yoga blankets
  • 1 belt
  • 2 shoulderstand pads
  • 1 bolster
  • 1 chair

Some of these items are available to borrow from our yoga school if you need.
